I stopped commuting in 1999. Period.
Most people spend on the average 10 hours per week commuting to and from work. Think about that. Depressing isn’t it?
What could you do with an extra 10 hours per week? Spend it with your family? Get more work done? Have a three day weekend every week?
Well, working from home allows you to do that. Not only can you control your own destiny, but you can also get back a lot time you’ve been wasting sitting in traffic. As I type this, I’m still in my t-shirt and warm-ups that I wore last night. I’m on about my third cup of coffee and I’m listening to the radio, where every seven minutes they give a traffic update. Every time I hear the words “bumper to bumper”, I just smile.
You can do this too. It just takes desire and follow through. You have to make up your mind to make a change, then do it.
