Recruiting never sleeps
You know, I get asked all the time about recruiting in this economic downturn, and I have to say (knock on wood0, I’ve never slowed down.
Most of the news you hear about layoffs is reflecting the hourly/non-professional workforce. Even though the media loves to make it sound like the sky is falling, it’s really not.
Most companies have seen this as an opportunity to get rid of some of their “dead weight”. Companies have learned to streamline and do more with less.
But, they still need talented people. So, recruiting has never stopped. In some cases, it’s gotten busier.
No, I’m not saying this economy is doing well. It’s not. Politicians in D.C., who have never had a real job are trying to “fix” things, when they are the ones who got us into this mess. If they would back off and let the entrepreneurial spirit of Americans loose, it would fix itself.
There, that’s my soapbox statement for today
